I’ve had my eye on this dresser since I first walked into my hubby’s Grandmothers house. It’s probably about 50 years old and it has so much character. I always gave it praise as I could see its potential and a few months ago his Gran politely gave it to me, but it clearly needed some work. My hubby was willing to do the work and we are really happy with the end result.
The first task was to get rid of the existing paint off the wood by using a paint stripper. He than had to give it a light sand before applying the first coat of paint.
I always wanted a white dresser and that has now become a reality. He painted the dresser with Plascon satin sheen which has given it a slight glossy effect. We then looked around for some handles and found these gorgeous one’s below at Poetry.
I still need to get a new mirror in the frame but it will do for now. I used this heart wrapping paper from mstudio, which I got at Kamers last week, to line each draw.
Finally a place to properly store all my girly goodies in one place 🙂
Now to have some fun dressing the top of the dresser. I have an entire Pinterest board for that!
What do you think?
