What Does Confidence Mean To You?

This was the question posed to me by Confidence Crusader Abigail, as part of the #CTConfidence campaign this month.

Abigail’s mission for this project is to get an understanding of the things that are standing in the way of women becoming the most confident versions of themselves.

10 Bloggers took part and shared their biggest confidence challenges and I got to be one of the lucky ones.

My day job is in an extremely challenging environment which is traditionally male dominated and although a lot of transformation has occurred over the years, I still feel that my feminity stands in the way of my career goals. Or so I believed for a very long time.

Being part of the campaign made me step back and look at how I can overcome this challenge. In fact, it’s made me take a personal step forward in my career which I’ve put on hold for a long time. I will share more about this at a later stage.

Watching the other 9 videos (which you can check out on Abigail’s blog here) has also inspired me so much. In fact, I was brought to tears hearing their amazing stories. The stories have sparked so many conversations about confidence and its driven many viewers to take action in their own lives.

Abigail is reaching out to all woman to take part in the campaign, by completing a survey sharing your biggest confidence challenge.

Lovely post! And I absolutely agree that being a woman in most industries is a disadvantage. Can’t wait to hear about your new step!
