Twenty Sixteen

It’s the last week of 2016 and what better time to look back and reflect on the year that has passed…

At the beginning of 2016 I set a resolution:

“Healthy Mind, Body and Soul”

I can honestly say that I have made a concerted effort in maintaining a healthier lifestyle and I am happy with the progress that I’ve made overall.

In terms of Body – I’ve increased my fitness level, ran two 10km races and continue to run at least twice a week. I’m really happy with my progress and I will set higher goals for myself in the new year! Best part…  I’m actually enjoying it.

My Soul is Happy!

My family is the main cause of this. As much as the kids drive me crazy sometimes, they complete me and make everything I do worthwhile. I love sharing the joy of watching them grow up and develop, together with Kurt.

Hayley’s Joys is another contributor to this. This blog makes me happy – it’s my creative space and I love being able to share ideas and information with others.

It was super cool for something I absolutely love and enjoy doing, to be featured in the September edition of the Living and Loving Magazine this year.

I was also marked as a Mommy Blogger worth bookmarking by All4woman !

My blogging journey has also allowed me to meet so many lovely people and places along the way and what makes it even more special, is that I get to give my kids happy experiences too!

Brother, are you going to finish that?

My Mind has been working overtime this year, but probably not as effectively and in the places where I would like it to and that’s due to a number of reasons – one of it being my career.

Since becoming a Mom, I’ve kept my aspirations in the back of my mind until I found my feet, but now I’ve sort of found a balance.

If you saw my participation in the CT Confidence campaign this month, you would have heard about my confidence challenge in my career. Being part of the campaign urged me to take a step in my career I’ve been putting off for a while and I am excited for what is to come!

I will share more about that in the new year…

I hope that 2017 will be an epic year for you and your loved ones….

May it bring you lots of fun, love and happiness.

May it open up a new book – with new expectations, opportunities and challenges!

Until then…
