You may or may not know this – but in 2016, this very blog was the Runner Up for Best Parenting Blog in the South African Blog Awards!

I was, and still am completely honoured that my readers felt that this blog was worthy of the title and actually took their precious time to vote in it’s favour!

It really means the world to me.

When I started this Blog just over 3 years ago, I had no clue of what I was doing really. I knew that I wanted a creative place to store some memories but I had no idea of what it took or the potential it had to grow.

Since then, it has exceeded my expectations and has opened up a whole new world for me and my family. This past year especially, has been so good – I have collaborated with amazing partners and loved engaging with all of my readers!

In the first year or so, I had a few friends and family members following (which meant the world to me). I really was and still am grateful that they took the time to even read my posts!

Although I may not have the biggest following in SA, Hayley’s Joys followership has grown quite significantly and I am so thankful that my writing has had even the tiniest little impact on a reader’s life.

This year, you’ve followed my journey as I changed careers, as Aidan started school and you sent so many wonderful wishes on my 9th anniversary with Kurt.

Through my Bad Mom tribulations and Alyssa’s demands about needing space – I was glad to know I’m not alone!

I’ve worked with some amazing brands and events this year and have worked hard to share my honest opinions and experiences with you and I can’t wait to share some more – and hopefully some more exciting competitions and giveaways!

The blog also had a makeover this year! Remember the old logo?

For the hard work that I put into the Blog this year, I’ve decided to enter the 2017 SA Blog Awards. It’s a coveted title amongst the Blogging community and I think that its a great feather in one’s cap – in recognition of lots of hard work and efforts.

The only way to be recognized is by the readers themselves – and those are the only votes that will count – so if you think this blog is worthy please read on and follow these easy steps:
