My Favourite Insta Moments Of 2018

my favourite insta moments

If I had to describe 2018 in a few words, I would have to say: Fabulous, Flourishing, Fascinating yet Frustrating at times.

If you follow me and my blog via Instagram, you’ll see that it’s probably the platform where I share the most about me and our family and our day to day life. Looking back at my Instagram feed, you can actually see these words reflecting in my posts.

I prefer focusing on the positive so (yes I do however acknowledge and learn from these things, that’s key) I thought I’d do a recap of some of the fun things I’ve done and celebrated this year.

Here are some highlights I’ve shared over on Instagram in 2018.

Our Family Trip To Durban

2018 kicked off on a fun note for us. We travelled to Durban for a week-long family vacay. It was the first time that the kids ever went on a flight which made it even more exciting. It was fun, relaxing and definitely a great way to kickstart our year.

Gosh, look how tiny Aidan looks!

In February Alyssa turned 5 and we celebrated with a Moana themed party. It was loads of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed planning and putting this party theme together.

Aidans Superhero Party

2018 has certainly been the year whereby Aidan’s superhero obsession came to the fore. He eats, sleeps, drinks superheroes and it was no surprise that he wanted to have a Superhero party, with him being Captain America of course.

Family Fashion Shoot

I’ve had a few family photoshoots this year, but our family photo shoot with Curtis Golden Photography back in April has to be my favourite. I’m still obsessed with my Barbie t-shirt and I loved how it added a “playful” feel to our family photos.

Our 10 Year Anniversary

In October, Kurt and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. We are so blessed.

To celebrate our anniversary, Kurt and I visited Aquila for a short stay. We absolutely loved every single minute of our stay and can’t wait to go back with the kids someday.

My Hair

Although I got rid of the long black hair back in 2017 already, I definitely owned the shorter lighter hair in 2018. Junior, from the Hashtag Colour Lounge is just the best.

Will 2019 be the year I go even lighter?

Two absolutely stunning weddings at the end of this year. Two excuses to get new outfits 🙂

Alyssa and I absolutely love being matchy matchy while it’s hard to get Aidan in a still frame even on his own! I however did manage to get the odd picture with him.

Not everyone will agree with what you have to say, some things you say may be misinterpreted and some may even blast you so they can feel better about themselves. […]
