Hello There!
It seems Winter is finally setting in … but before you decide to start hibernating, there’s lots of fun happening at Snow World at SunExhibits, GrandWest from 1 May till 31 July – and you HAVE to check it out.
My little family and I attended the Media Launch last week and we had such an amazing time. Aidan has his first snow and slide experience 🙂
Before I show you some pictures and videos (watch out.. there are some scary Daddy selfies) and before I give you some good news, here’s of what Snow World has to offer:
For the little ones, a snow play area for a real snow “touch and feel “experience, a solid ice slide at 1.2 meters high or go for a ride on the back of a friendly animal from the ice age.
For the older kids and young at heart, try the two larger Ice slides. The one offers a nippy downward spiral of 40 meters, the other a radical dipper slide of 35m.
For the adventure junkies, head into the “snow box” for a real snow tubing experience at temperatures of a chilly -3 degrees. The snow box, has a first for South Africa, offering the opportunity to learn how to “Snow Board”. The snowboarding ticket offers a lesson and all the gear needed on a dedicated snowboard slope while Mom and Dad can watch through the windows on the warmer viewing /coffee deck.
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to meet a woolly mammoth, now’s the chance!
Wonder through an exhibition of some of the more famous animals from the ice age. These animals, set in simulations of their ice age environment are brought back to animatronic life with movement and sounds!
For the over 18’s, cool down in the” ICE BAR” and lounge for a drink within a truly artic experience, then warm up in the Alpine village where refreshments are served.
Snow World caters for kid’s parties for all ages. For the younger ones in the themed party zone and for the older ones within the Alpine village.
The Alpine Hospitality village also offers private and corporate functions. Enquire with Snow World to book your celebration or corporate event.
