Last year, I was one of the lucky people who got to collaborate with Spur and give some input into their proposed new Kids menu. After careful consideration, Spur has now launched the new Kids menu which has been revamped to offer kids an exciting new range of Better-for-you options to complement their old favourites. Yay!
I am so glad to hear that several of our group’s suggestions have been included, giving kids wholesome menu choices. As well as the fall-back burger and chips, kids can now also choose from the ‘Better for you’ page: grilled chicken, sweet potato fries, mielies, and mash for example.
The new layout of the menu also puts less emphasis on desserts; so getting children to focus on choosing their meals first is less of a challenge for parents! The bright and colourful design makes choosing the right meal for you, fun.

I just hope that this menu has more advanced allergy warnings? did lay a complaint and still waiting for them to get back to me? My son could have eaten most things on the menu and now I don’t find spur to be a safe place anymore. you add another milkshake (nutella) and Lord knows what else has been compromised. He has a severe peanut and treenut allergy. So disappointed that you put warning for milk and none for nuts at all? what about egg allergies? gluten allergies? I would have added more to towards that. Glad about the healthy option. My favorite safe place to take my son is no longer a safe place

Cant wait to see the new menu, have always wondered when they would start adding some healthy options for kids.
I love spur as i have a two year old and the play area is just great and it always feels like home 🙂 keeps little ones entertained..the new healthy option menu is just wonderful as i have changed my household lifestyle to eating healthier. Eating out can be healthy too!! Super excited for this menu!!!!

About a year ago we were at Spur and my daughter actually asked to order from the adult menu, and when the waiter asked why she said cause there isn’t any healthy options on the kids menu. As a result the manager gave her meal on the house. We really enjoy a good healthy meal, and would love to go try out the new menu

We went out to Spur on Monday, and I must say I was really impressed, there were so many more options, loved that they could choose to have veggies – which looked so yummy , salad or corn on the cob etc… Thumbs up to Spur! The menu looked so inviting! And glad that a big store like them are giving the younger generation much better food options!
Agree with Chantal – would be great to accommodate kids with allergies. Gluten is a big thing at the moment

My boy loves spur, no matter what the occasion, time, date, he always wants to go. He loves the meal options, loves playing more though. But he finishes his meals these days.

Glad that the stale kiddies menu has had a much needed update. We actually don’t go to Spur much due to the menus that just feel boring. Would love to see if my 3 yr old lb will enjoy 🙂
