I’m not going to lie – I am one of those people who are just completely into the festive season. And I think it’s rubbed off on Alyssa and Aidan.

I’m already using the “Santa’s watching you” and the “He knows when you are sleeping” cards and it’s working! They wouldn’t dare do anything that will make Santa miss our chimney on Christmas Eve.

The excitement started when we received a Gingerbread House Kit to try out. I kept it under wraps for a bit, but decided to give it a go this past weekend. But, boy oh boy, it’s really gotten us into a festive spirit.

Gingerbread House Kit

We decided to tackle the house building as a family.

Alyssa mixed the icing while Kurt set everything up to make sure we had a solid standing house.

Aidan and I were responsible for the icing and decorating but I had to watch my assistant who couldn’t resist tasting pieces of the house decor.

But Alyssa made sure that he saved enough for the house 🙂

The kit includes pre-baked GingerBread panels, Sweets, icing and piping bag. No baking is required. All that is left to do is to assemble and decorate.

The kit has a shelf life of 6 months, so it makes for a perfect gift, party favour and Christmas activity of course!
