With the weather turning out great on Sunday, we decided to take a drive out to the Winelands and enjoy the Autumn sunshine. We put on our boots, grabbed the camera (and nappy bag of course) and we were on our way!
First stop was the exquisite Weltevreden Estate. This place has sentimental value to us now, as it’s where we celebrated Alyssa’s first birthday. The estate is home to the Lekka Ne restaurant and Carnival play area which makes it the ultimate family friendly venue. As we arrived we were greeted by the beautiful peacocks who walk around strutting their stuff. We then explored the estate and strolled through its beautiful garden and maze while my husband played around with his 50mm lens. Below are some of the best shots.
Next stop was the popular Root 44 Market which always has such an amazing vibe. Whenever I visit the market, I absolutely have to go straight to Euvella stand and see what is on offer. It always has the prettiest accessories and I never leave without buying something….
Look at the beautiful Arm wrap I got, that totally matched my outfit!
We then browsed the food stand for some snacks which left us spoilt for choice but we eventually settled for cappuccinos, Oreo and Red velvet brownies…. Yum!
After getting our treats, we realized that we had a tired toddler that was in desperate need of a nap and thought we’d make our way home and start preparing for the week that lies ahead.
Ahhh… the life of a toddler….. they say jump…..we say how high!
Anyway …. until my next Joy!
P.S. If you interested… our boots are from Pick n’ pay Clothing and our jerseys are both from Mr. Price
