Happy Monday Happy People!
I’m not sure if there is anyone else as happy as I am that H&M is in South Africa? Not only have they given fashion fans a wonderful variety of clothing but they have literally changed the landscape of shopping for kids and baby clothing in this country!
I was super excited to hear that their AW16 Studio Collection will be launching on the 8th of September and I was even more stoked that the team over at H&M gave Alyssa and I the chance to play around with some of the magnificent pieces which the collection has to offer. Yes – you’ve read correctly between the lines – H&M have launched the the first ever H&M Studio kids collection!
In both the Women and Kids collection, there’s a folkloric theme which comes alive in the garments. In the women’s range, its all about feminine cuts and oversized shoulders where feminine power and strength shines through. The kids collection has influences from sagas such as Alice in Wonderland or the Swedish tales of John Bauer, with embellishments and prints essential to the look. Velvets, lace, patterns and detail is what this collection is all about.
The pieces are also perfect for the in-between season kind of Weather we’ve been experiencing.
There are even some cute kids accessories which are part of the collection – charming party kits with cups, plates, napkins and invitation cards as well as a hobby horse, embroidered rabbit masks and fox masks -all perfect for our little tea party and some hide-and-seek.
