Beauty Lifesavers For Busy Moms

If you’re a busy Mom like me, your time is limited – especially in the mornings, trying to get the whole family ready for the day ahead. I’m really not a high maintenance gal when it comes to make-up, but I still like to look and feel pretty – so I make a bit of an effort to look “MY best” every day.

But time is of the essence and it’s almost impossible to spend a lengthy time getting myself ready in the mornings as I have 2 little ones hanging on my dressing gown, for one reason or another.

So I am always on the lookout for hair and beauty products that can save me some time, but also give great results. Of course, I still want to look good when I leave the house in the mornings and not like Alyssa or Aidan done my hair and make-up!

So with that in mind, I thought I’d share some of the products that have done exactly that for me over the last few months – tried, tested and loving!

GHD Paddle Brush

I have no idea why it took me such a long time to get me one of these after seeing so many positive reviews. I literally waited until my old blow dry brush died before I made the purchase. This brush honestly saves me lots of time in the mornings. I love washing my hair in the mornings and it not only saves time, but leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy.

Morgan Taylor REACT Base And Top Coat

If there’s one thing I hate – it’s chipped nail polish.  I also really hate it when nail colour only lasts for 1 or 2 days, it feels like such a waste of time painting it in the first place. I’m so glad to have discovered the Morgan Taylor REACT No-Light Base coat and Top coat. It takes extended wear to another level! My nail colour can now last up to a week – without any chipping!

Liquid Eyeliner

Ok so I’m pretty new to the eyeliner game! A friend of  mine introduced me to the “winged eye” look and I must say, I’m loving it. I’m still trying to perfect the art, but that will come with time I suppose. We also went on a quest to find the perfect eyeliner for me as I have weird eyes. My eyelids are quite small, so if I wear eye-shadow you won’t even see it. And if the liquid liner doesnt dry quickly and not waterproof, it will smudge quickly.

I’ve watched a few You-Tube tutorials on how to perfect the winged eyeliner, like Sharon’s from The Blessed Barreness  which really helped.

So I’ve tried a couple of liquid liners and am still trying to find the perfect one for my eyes, but thus far the Rimmel Scandal Eyes has been doing the trick for me.

Benefit Cosmetics Make-Up

Have you visited the Benefit Cosmetics counter yet? If not – WHY NOT? I’ve been getting my eyebrows shaped there for a while now and have also started usings some of their products.  I At the moment I’m using the POREfessional: pore minimising makeup which can be used on it’s own over my moistoriser or as buildable coverage under my foundation. Most days I just wear it on it’s own and it leaves my skin looking smooth, minimising the appearance of pores.

I adore the custom pore-blurring sponge! Who needs make-up brushes?

Sorbet Quick Dry Spray

Kids don’t really allow you any time to just sit and stare at your nails dry? So if I’m going to paint my nails, it needs to dry quickly! That’s why I was so glad to find this new Quick Dry Spray from Sorbet. It’s odorless, maintains luster and is non-oily!

Yep, I ain’t got time for that!

Moms, do you have any amazing lifesaving beauty products? I’d really love to hear about them!
