I can’t think of how many times I’ve searched Google for family friendly venues in and around Cape Town. Paarl often comes out tops in our search and yet again, Eat @ Perdeberg is now officially on our list of favourites, after a recent visit.
Following the success of Perdeberg Cellar’s offering of platters and paired menus over the last couple of years, Perdeberg opened its own restaurant at the winery in April 2019.
Eat @ Perdeberg, The Perfect Family Friendly Venue In Paarl
The venue has such a relaxing vibe about it. We sat in the outside seating as the weather was perfect. That also meant that we could enjoy the tranquil setting of the gardens while the kids kept themselves very busy in the play park area, which included a jumping castle. Inside seating is also available, but booking is essential.
Eat @ Perdeberg serves an À la Carte Menu from Wednesday through to Sunday, where an offer for a plated roast is also available on Sundays (OMG , you have to try this) – making this a great opportunity for a family outing.
There is also a kiddies menu. Alyssa and Aidan opted for the chicken strips and chips, paired with the yummiest strawberry milkshakes.
Kurt and I enjoyed a Bobotie spring roll starter. It was really delicious with the chutney. I enjoyed it while sipping on the Pederberg Pinot Noir Rose’ MCC. Gorgeous.
Our main meals were real generous portions. Wow!
Kurt and I shared our main meals so we could get a taste of everything. We went with the Sunday Roast special as well as a hearty meal off the menu.
There wasn’t one thing on our plates that we didn’t enjoy and it really was a tasty home cooked meal. Soul Food.
We will definitely be back soon with the extended family and friends.
