Updated October 2023
For the last 10+ years of my life, basically since the day I found out I was pregnant with Alyssa, – my definition of the word party had a whole new meaning.
Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine the amount of kids party venues in Cape Town that I would visit, not only to host my own kids birthday parties – but to attend their friends and cousins parties too!
Alyssa and Aidan’s social calendar is lit, I tell you!
If you’re anything like me who leaves everything until the last minute, it’s always a mission trying to find party venues that would suit your kid’s party theme or accommodate your budget on such short notice.
I’ve hosted my kids parties at some gorgeous venues and we’ve also attended parties at places that we really loved, so I thought I’d share a list of our favourite kids party venues in Cape Town that you may find useful.
Giraffe house
If your kid is an animal lover, Giraffe house in Stellenbosch is a perfect spot to host your kids party. Meet Gerry the Giraffe, the cutest zebras and all their friends. Your kid’s party can be hosted under a 100 square metre thatched roof lapa with drop down sides in case of cooler weather. Kids will be able to interact and feed some of the animals.
There’s also a play area at Giraffe House and it consists of 3 jungle gyms and a lawn area.
Total Ninja
Total Ninja’s Black River Park is home to the Strike Arena, the first of its kind in South Africa and one of Total Ninja’s most competitive adventure courses!
Aidan has been to this venue for a few parties and let me tell you – it’s hard to get him to leave.
The venue host parties every day of the week on the hour! It’s really popular and the kids have a blast every time!

Weltevreden Estate – Carnival
The Weltevreden kids carnival offers loads of fun activities designed for kids of all ages. This place has sentimental meaning to us as we hosted Alyssa’s first birthday here. It boasts a huge Children’s Playground along with a build-a-pizza area, a confectionery counter, loads of shade and awesome natural surroundings!
The carnival area has two trampolines as well as two HUGE jungle gyms.
Ipic Play
Rush Trampoline Park
Such a fun spot where even the parents can’t help but join in on the fun. The venue has the coolest party areas equipped for both kids and Adults – the space is really unique.
Based in Claremont, the kids will have a blast jumping to their hearts content. Visit their website to check out the different party options.

Cape Town Science Centre
This is literally one of my favourite places to take the kids!
You can celebrate your child’s next birthday with an unforgettable experience at the Partycle in the Cape Town Science Centre enclosed area for your exclusive use that includes tables and chairs. You’ll have access to the party room for two hours but you and your guests can also spend as long as you wish in the Cape Town Science Centre as your tickets are valid for the whole day.

Reapers Paintball
Situated in Brackenfell, this venue is perfect for kids who love adventure and action!
The venue has both low impact and regular packages which means they are able to host everyone from kids to adults!
Enchanted Forest @ Earthworx

Enchanted Forest is a kids party venue in Hout Bay. They offer a number of party options & will arrange everything on the day. Alyssa attended a Fairy themed party at the venue, which was absolutely fitting for the theme! There is a huge open play area for the kids with loads of space for running and climbing.
Bounce World
Aidan attended a party at Bounce World and he’s still talking about it! Bounce World has an assortment of jumping castles and inflatable structures that are suitable for kids from 2-9 years old (with a separate toddler area for kids 1-4 years of age).
Parties are hosted in a party room and there are various packages available!
It seems that adults love this place as much as kids do!
Bugz Playpark
Alyssa and Aidan absolutely adore Bugz Playpark. We hosted Aidan’s 2nd birthday at Bugz and had the most amazing time. The Bugz staff made the birthday boy feel super special and the kids had an absolute ball. We love the fact that even after the party slot is over, the kids have access to the playpark for the rest of the day which is honestly such a bonus!
Bugz has a number of indoor and outdoor party venues within the park and a number of party options to choose from.
Be.Up Park
If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate your kids birthday, Be.Up has something for all ages. Choose from 3 different packages based on the age group. Kids can go crazy on the trampolines, Clip and Climb and the incredible maze.
Playalot
If you’re looking for an indoor play party spot in the Northern Suburbs, then Playalot in Kraaifonten is a really great option.
You can get your our own private space to celebrate and relax whilst the kids gain full access to the various play zones, depending on their ages.
Each party is up to 4 hours in duration depending on your package and priced per child.
Gordons Gymnastic Club
For fully supervised jumping, swinging and balancing fun orientated birthday parties, you can give Gordons Gymnastic Club a call for more information.
Alyssa and I attended one of her friend’s parties here recently and it was such a unique experience. The party is fully supervised and hosted by the staff of the gymnastics club which is why I really love this venue and I even got in on the jumping and swinging fun with some of the other Moms 🙂
Bonus – All kids who attend the party gets a really cool special gift from Gordons Gymnastic Club!
Happy Party Planning!
I’ll be sure to keep this list updated as we come across some more venues.
