This year has really started off with a bang and I can’t believe that January is already past halfway! It feels like just yesterday that we were wrapping Christmas presents and eating mince pies.
The first two weeks of January had me getting things in order for Alyssa’s first day of toddler school. I felt like such a Mom putting name tags on clothing , planning lunchbox ideas and buying school supplies. I was back at the office on the 5th of January already, while Kurt worked right through the holidays so we tried to feel a bit of holiday cheer over the weekends and went on a few day trips.
Alyssa started school this past Wednesday and I was probably more nervous than her. She shed a few tears as we left on that morning but settled in within seconds of us leaving. Me on the other hand… I think it’s the pregnancy hormones but I was teary eyed most of that morning. When I fetched her at school on Friday, she didn’t want to leave so I am feeling a lot better after witnessing that.
I am looking forward to seeing Alyssa develop this year. She will only be spending half days at school and will be home in the afternoon in time for a nap and some afternoon playtime with her caregiver until Mom or Dad gets home.
In just 3 months Alyssa will be meeting her little brother, so 2015 is really a year of change for our little family but as the saying goes nothing in life is constant, except for change!
What changes does 2015 have in store for you? I would love to hear about it.
