One of our favourite festive traditions is visiting Canal walk during the year end holidays. We have our annual family picture taken with Santa and we’re always excited to find out what fun activity is taking place in the centre court!

This festive season, Canal Walk Shopping Centre will be playing host to a visiting space station that is designed to welcome earthlings of all ages and provide them with discovery and delight.  On loan to Canal Walk by an inter-planetary council of earth conscious beings, the Super-Galactic Space Station will land in the Centre Court on 7^th December 2017 and will depart on 14^th January 2018.

The space station includes a gigantic inflatable space maze where would-be space travellers are welcome to explore a series of zones.  Space explorers will proceed to the launch pad before embarking on their mission – to get to the sun (and have as much fun as possible along the way).

The incredible journey, includes a 4m inflatable slide – younger explorers can experience crawling through a ‘wormhole’ positioned at the bottom – a hall of mirrors, a constellation and solar system board that lights up; an asteroid field where pioneers will need to dodge planets, while the more active will appreciate the obstacle course and UV laser web zone.

Whether explorers are from earth or outer-space, navigating via the stars is just the ticket.  With that in mind the inter-galactic delegation has organised a pop-up planetarium to fire the imagination, as well as a space café where visitors can try some out-of-this -world refreshments.

The Canal Walk Space Station takes place 7^th December 2017 to 14^th January 2018 (please note that it will be closed on 25 December). The Space Station will be open very hour on the hour, from 10H00 to 21H00.  The cost of exploring is from R40 per person and can be purchased at  www.computicket.co.za.

Even space travellers love Santa and kids can have their photographs taken with the red suited, white-bearded custodian of festive cheer until 24 December. Santa will definitely be hard at work, listening to all the children’s wishes and checking who has been naughty or nice this Christmas!
