It’s officially Winter and every second person I bumped into this past week is recovering from some sort of cold or flu – and I am no exception.
I was quite surprised to find out that the biggest risk factor for catching the common cold is having children under the age 12. This is according to Pharma Dynamics, leading colds and flu generic medicine provider.
Children’s book tackles diversityWhen I saw the Bumble Books Press release for I am Alex, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Alyssa has started noticing things. Little things. Differences. And she has started asking questions. In her class at school, there is a mix of different races and religions but to those kids, it doesn’t mean all too much – but they are naturally curious as to why there are these differences!

Having your first child is life changing for sure, but having the second one brings on a totally different ballgame. Last month Kim Kardashian posted on her blog, some of her experiences of how life has changed since Saint was born. She referred to her journey on breastfeeding and how difficult it was for her to breastfeed Saint, with North around. While breastfeeding Saint on the one breast, she literally had to put a small milk carton with a straw in her bra on the opposite side and “feed” North. Her breastfeeding journey with Saint did not last very long because of this.
I have a night out planned with some girlfriends next month, so naturally I’ve been thinking about what on earth I’ll be wearing, especially with it becoming rather chilly in the Mother City.
Fashion wise – Winter is my favourite season, for sure! However when you’re planning to paint the town red there’s a thin line between over-dressing and under-dressing.
