Alyssa and Trevor soaking up the sun
This past weekend Summer made an appearance and seems to have left Cape Town once again. We however soaked up the sun and made the most of it. The weekend could not have come any sooner as the week past and the week to come was rather difficult…. so much going on!!!
Alyssa is really growing up so quickly, I cannot believe how time has flown by! We have recently moved her into another room in the house and she is now sleeping in her own “Big girl bed”. I can’t believe that she is out of her cot, no longer wants to sit in her pram and hopefully soon she will be out of nappies too 🙂
We’ve started decorating her room and I think my obsession with pink is really coming through. On Saturday we started decorating what I call a memory wall which has now started to take shape.
The pieces on the wall are practically almost all pink and I would like to add some other pieces that would bring some variety…. maybe some teal or purple…. but I’m sure we will find some color to add.

All of last week my husband was telling Alyssa and I that he had a surprise outing planned for us. The only clue he gave was that the outing involved animals, which Alyssa is totally obsessed with at the moment. Dogs, birds, fish you name it…. the girl is smitten. It was much to our delight that the destination he chose was the Aquarium… I am still not sure who had a better time though…. me or Alyssa.
