This week is Pregnancy Awareness Week In South Africa. The purpose of it is to promote and educate women and the public about pregnancy and also to enhance healthy pregnancies – as well as healthy babies.

I think it’s a great initiative, as new and expectant Moms need all the support they can get.

In line with Pregnancy Awareness Week, Pampers and I thought it would be appropriate to share some tips for expectant Moms on how to keep healthy and stay informed throughout pregnancy and beyond.

I’ve Earned Over R1000 Cash With The SNAPnSAVE App – You Can Too

2016 was a tough year for most family’s and the exorbitant, rising costs of groceries generously contributed to the situation.

On the blog, I moaned a lot about how much I was spending and got the conversation going about ways to save on that monthly bill.

One of these ways was by using a very cool app called SNAPnSAVE.

Since using the app, I’ve earned over R1000 just by buying my usual monthly groceries! I can now (or at any time I need to) “withdraw” these funds in the form of a Wicode which can be used to pay for goods at most major retailers.

Alyssa’s first playdate without Mom and Dad

This week Alyssa’s best friend turned 4 and to celebrate, her family invited Alyssa to have lunch with them at a Spur restaurant after school.

Last year I made great progress on the fitness front. I basically went from doing absolutely nothing in 2015, to running 10km races and visiting the gym 122 times for the year, according to my medical aid 🙂

This year I thought I’d try to change things up a bit as I was basically just doing the same old routines and hitting a plateau.

I’ve been following Kayla Itsines on Social Media for a while and have always been inspired by the progress stories she and her followers share. I thought I’d look into it and see whether it was something that I could adopt. I saw a few people  enjoying the app – like Celeste from Being Me – and got positive feedback about the workouts.

I bought Kayla’s book when it launched, mainly for some healthy inspiration and then also downloaded the free 7-day trial which I followed – and I enjoyed it!!! I continued with a 1-month subscription and so far so good.
