It’s World Book Day today! Yay!
I’m a firm believer of reading to children as their brains are literally like sponges that take in every single word!
As my kids are getting older I am enjoying seeing Alyssa reading on her own and also reading to Aidan. Aidan is also starting to identify words in books which makes me so happy.
With it being World Book Day today, I thought I’d share some books these two are enjoying at the moment.
School is out for the year and I am trying to keep the kids as creative and occupied as possible!
There is now lots of time to get the kids involved in making some of their own tasty Christmas treats and crafts!
This week they made some yummy festive chocolate reindeer bark. It’s a really fun way to keep them busy and I think it will actually make for a gift for those chocolate lovers!
fully in swing, the kids are surely enjoying a break from the early morning wake-ups. Alyssa and Aidan sure are! Winter school holidays
This weekend we paid a visit to the

The Cape Town Science Centre is currently celebrating the International Year of the Periodic Table by hosting a jam-packed Winter Holiday programme which includes daily hands-on workshops, busking, demonstrations, Camera Obscura Tour, Science Shows and so much more.
Schools out and it’s that time when parents start getting anxious about how they are going to entertain their kids for the next couple of weeks.
The V&A Waterfront is Alyssa’s favourite place in Cape Town and we always look forward to what they have to offer the kids during the holidays.
This holiday they don’t disappoint – here’s whats in store:
