As caring parents, we all share a common goal – and that’s to ensure the safety of our children at all times.
Like for example, I use Pampers diapers for my kids. Why? As I want the best possible protection for my baby’s bottom!
Similarly, with any other aspect of parenting, I always look to products and methods which I can trust will ensure the well-being of my family.
So as the holiday season comes into effect, Pampers and I thought we’d share some important safety tips to keep in mind, as you and your family embark on your holiday adventures.
On The Road
It goes without saying, all babies and young children MUST be in a car seat at all times. Even if it’s a short distance, there is no excuse for not doing so. Before driving off, always double check that the seat is properly installed and that your child is properly secured.
Do not leave your child unattended in the car for any period of time. I know how busy us parents can get, so if you get out of your car always double check to see you not leaving anyone behind.
No child should ever be left alone in any body of water – not for any reason. Adult supervision is required at all times – even if a child is able to swim.
Accidents happen in a matter of seconds, so please do not even leave a child alone in a bath or bucket of water.
As much as toys bring our kids joy and happiness, it can sometimes be harmful. Inferior or imitation toys, toys intended for older kids or loose pieces could end up fatal.
- Avoid small toys with small pieces for kids under the age of 3.
- Make sure the toys your child plays with is age appropriate.
- Watch out for magnetic toys. These should be kept away from small kids – if swallowed, this could be really dangerous.
- If your child is going to use a scooter, bicycle or skateboard – make sure they are kitted out with a helmet, arm and knee pads.
Sunblock, sunblock and more sunblock!
Also keep your child hydrated during the warm weather with lots of water and fluids. I also shared some tips as to keep cool on those scorchers a while ago – do check them out too.
Lastly – Have Fun and have a Blessed, Safe Holiday
