So a couple of weeks ago I shared some natural ways to keep my skin glowing.
Those tips really work well for me, but there are still times when I experience a dry patch of skin and it usually pops up when my body is run down or when the weather season changes.
When that happens, I do need some help to keep my skin moisturised and to get back that glow.
Here are some of the products that help me nurse my skin back to health.
For The Lips
When it comes to lip balms, believe me – I’ve tried them all. My top lip is very sensitive and gets sunburned so easily which leaves me with chapped lips. The Palmers Coconut Oil Lip balm has to be the best lip balm I’ve used in a while.
I love that it doesn’t leave a heavy or sticky layer on my lips. It leaves my lips feeling moisturised and comfortable for hours.
For The Body
A couple of weeks ago, BaoCare sent me a bottle of tissue oil to try out. So far I am loving it. It’s perfect for dry skin and also helps with stretch marks and scarring.
The BaoCare Tissue oil combines organic wild harvested Baobab oil with natural vitamin E and a subtle unisex fragrance (which means that Kurt can use it too). It also contains essential oils known for their beneficial aromatherapy properties.
For The Face
There are a few products that have helped me nurse the dry patches on my face back to health as part of my daily routine, like Sorbet facial oil. More recently I’ve started using the Moogoo SPF moisturiser during the day which I’m quite impressed with thus far.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I had an oxygen facial at Biodermal Aesthetics Clinic and to date, I haven’t had one dry spot ever since!!! My skin really looks and feels a lot different since then.
Prior to having the facial done, I would get these really dry patches of skin between my lip and nose. The Bodyshop hemp face protector is a complete lifesaver during these times. I can reapply the cream throughout the day as it soothes and repairs the broken skin.
Another product which helps me get past these dry phases, is the Almay sensitive care moisturising cream. When applying the cream, I can immediately feel the difference between a normal moisturiser. It’s much lighter, soothes those dry areas and doesn’t irritate my skin in any way.
For the Knees, Elbows & Heels
By far the best cure for all those dry bits – elbows, knees, heels and also doubles up as an awesome hand cream. I’ve been using it for years and it works like a bomb! It doesn’t hurt that it smells heavenly too!
Do you have any great products that you use for dry skin?
I would love to hear.
