The Mother City was literally on Fire this weekend, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in some parts. This seems to be one of the warmest and dryest Summer’s I’ve certainly experienced and we are only in January! It’s difficult to get a good nights sleep in such ridiculously warm weather and it’s even harder to keep the little ones comfortable.
When it’s warm out, we tend to spend lots of time in the pool or at the beach but it’s important to remember that babies and young children can become ill during very hot weather like we are currently experiencing. Their health can be seriously affected by sunburn, dehydration, heat exhaustion and sunstroke. Therefore in hot weather it’s really important to ensure your little one is not overheating.
