A Safari Experience At Aquila Private Game Reserve For Our 10 Years

Last week, Kurt and I spent a few days at Aquila Private Game Reserve for our 10 year wedding anniversary

It was our first real holiday experience alone without the kids and although we did miss them, the time away was so calming and relaxing.

Also getting away from the hustle and bustle of our normal daily lives in Cape Town was the best.  The 2 hour drive from Cape Town wasn’t bad at all (obviously no kids asking “are we there yet?”) but we also got to stop at a few cute farmstalls along the way.

Aquila Private Game Reserve has been on our bucket list for a while and we thought it would make for the perfect romantic getaway to celebrate a decade of marriage!

{WIN} Start A Holiday Tradition With A Gingerbread House Kit

I’m not going to lie – I am one of those people who are just completely into the festive season. And I think it’s rubbed off on Alyssa and Aidan.

I’m already using the “Santa’s watching you” and the “He knows when you are sleeping” cards and it’s working! They wouldn’t dare do anything that will make Santa miss our chimney on Christmas Eve.

The excitement started when we received a Gingerbread House Kit to try out. I kept it under wraps for a bit, but decided to give it a go this past weekend. But, boy oh boy, it’s really gotten us into a festive spirit.
