Alyssa and I were like WHATEVER this weekend, enjoying the li’l bit of sunshine Cape Town had to offer.
I found both our “Whatever” jerseys at Mr Price – i just had to grab them when I saw them. As far as i know, the saying “Whatever” was made popular by the 90’s movie Clueless. Anyone who knew me back then would know that i was totally obsessed with the movie…. so obsessed that i would watch it every single day as soon as I arrived home from school while pretending to do my homework. I memorised almost every line of the movie and I used “Whatever”, “as If” or “thats like so five years ago” in almost every sentance. (I think i may still use these phrases…. perhaps not that often now)
With our home renovations nearing completion, my husband and I began arranging, sorting and re-packing our new kitchen this past weekend. It took longer than expected due to the fact that we had a 16 month old trying to help us…. you know how that story goes.
I must admit that I do not spend much time cooking in the kitchen and my hubby is definitely the Masterchef of our household, but i do love spending quality family time in that space.
While we were packing, i decided to take pictures of some of my treasures which have sentimental value to me… its definitely not the biltong maker or vintage sandwich press which the hubby would deem treasures…
I just realized that I may have a slight obsession with (navy) blue…
Most of my recent splurges were on navy blue items…from clothing to accessories and even hair colour! Take a look
I’m on quite a winning spree lately….. I’ve won a photoshoot from New Age Portraits at the Decorex Expo, tickets to the Good Food and Wine show last weekend courtesy of a Vida e cafe and thanks to SA Decor and Design http://www.sadecor.co.za/wordpress/ I won 2 tickets to the Kamers vol geskenke expo this weekend.
