Xcel has challenged our creative brains even more during these crazy times! We were challenged to design our own DIY Mask 😷

Now, we are challenging you to do the same – create your own DIY masks using whatever you wish! I’m going to be choosing my favourite design and will award the winner with a R500 Takealot Voucher!
Here’s how to enter:

2. Make your own diy mask using anything you wish: tissues, a scarf, socks (I’ve seen some crazy things on the net ha ha) whatever you wish!

Sunday Lunch Is Ready ✅

Recently, @raising.k.squared and @faircapedairies challenged me to Rev up a classic recipe using any Fair Cape Dairies ingredient. I was sent over a few goodies including Amasi, which is something I’ve actually never cooked with before!

I decided to spice things up (literally and figuratively) and upped our usual Sunday lunch fried chicken recipe by using Amasi! This is the recipe I came up with:

Crispy Cumin Amasi Chicken

Ingredients:
3 cups Fair Cape Dairies Amasi
8 pieces of chicken
2 cups of flour
3 tsp of Cumin powder
2 tsp of Paprika
2 tsp of salt
2 tsp of pepper

Lemon quarters for serving
Oil for frying

Method
1. Marinade the chicken in amasi overnight or for 2 hours at least.
2. Once chicken is marinated, heat up a small pot or deep fryer
3. In a bag mix together the flour and spices
4. Place the marinated chicken pieces in the bag and shake around
5. Fry the chicken is small batches and add the fried pieces to low heated oven to stay warm while frying the rest.

Serve immediately, squeeze over some fresh lemon juice and serve with a fresh salad 🥗

We can definitely see an increase in concentration and focus over the last few days - not just the kids but myself and Kurt too, as we've been taking the tablets. It's really been great as it was becoming a real struggle for all of us to stay focused during this time. How are things on your side during these crazy times?
